Black Keys – Time to Tap Your Feet

This month I’ve decided to write about music bands and songs that influenced me, inspired me, and made me happy.

Black Keys is an American rock band that was formed in the year 2001. The first time I came across Black Keys was when I heard the song  “Gold on the Cieling” featured in the movie “Battleship”. The song rang a bell, and when I looked it up I found that it was used in several movies and TV shows like ‘NCIS’, ‘Suits’ and ‘We’re the Millers’.

The song became my instant favorite. The song starts with a short guitar note followed by a rhythmic beat that flows throughout the song. Thirty seconds into the song, the chorus comes in singing  the words  “gold on the ceiling” and the song takes off to a whole new level. The catchy tune made the song an ear worm and I was humming it for a whole day.

The band has also produced so many cool tracks like “Lonely boy”,  “Run right back”, “Dead and Alone”, “Howlin’ for You” etc.

If you want to get a taste of them, “El Camino” would be a good place to start. The album is peppy, and has a bunch of foot tapping numbers.

The band hasn’t had a major release after 2014, but the music they had made will definitely make you move. A lot of you might not have known about the band. But, they’re worth checking out.

Note: I am a noob when it comes to writing about music. So, keep that in mind 😉
